  8. I think I already told you that I think you are great!!! I loved that you shared Scripture as a source of encouragement. I want that to be a genuine place of encouragement for me too. Growing up Catholic - I feel like I read the Bible, but didn't take it personally. God has been teaching me so much along the way... man oh man and now I want to go find some encouragement in the Bible. THANK YOU, KATIE!

  9. I love how you share about She Reads Truth. I think it's so much more valuable to go to the blog itself so that you can really interact with one another. :-)

  12. enjoyed listening to your vlog. i loved what you had to say at the end to mothers. especially in my generation, there aren't many women out there who want to be full-time mothers. Lord willing, after i am married and have a family, being a mother is what i want to do. thank you for the encouraging words and for thinking that motherhood is important. <3 thanks for stopping by my blog.

We are not part of his story and he is not part of ours

"Write drunk; edit sober" -Ernest Hemingway I've never actually attempted this, but tonight I am. I've had my wine and if you know me at all it doesn't take much to get my lightheaded & giggly. I'm truly not a Windau (my maiden name) when it comes to my alcohol consumption. I put my catholic roots to shame. I'm ok with that. Technically we got a call for 4 boys but for reasons that I will not share, we could only say yes to little guy. And then there was waiting. And more waiting because our agency couldn't find a home for 4 of the little guys, they came from a sibling group of 6. All 6. Boys. That would be headed for permanent custody. In my mind all the things lined up. I had prayed for an orphan. I had been learning about how to bond with a baby in the adoption sens...
