10 on 10

I just found out about this. If I understand it correctly every month on the 10th you take 10 pictures every hour for 10 hours {obviously} recording your day. I didn't exactly remember. But it's my first time so I get to have an excuse. Hopefully I'll do better in September. By the way, can you believe summer is almost over?!! Alex and Olivia start kindergarten in 11 days. CRAZY!!!

I start my day the same every morning, as long as I don't hit the snooze and go back to sleep. I wake up at 6:30 am and head downstairs. I start my coffee and wait. Then I read my devotions [#shereadstruth] - We are currently going through the book of Proverbs.

Addie Boo woke up late yesterday. She wasn't eating breakfast until 10:00. She is like her sister, she LOVES her sleep!!!

At 11:00 I decided it was time for a workout. I did day 3 of week 1 of my beginners running schedule. I am remembering why I loved running so much. After my treadmill workout I did a Hip Hop abs dvd. Then I put Miss Addie Boo down for a nap.

This was post lunch. I meant to post a lunch picture but forgot. We had tacos yesterday. Having tacos is always a guarantee all my children will eat.

This was while waiting at the bank. I got a birthday check from my grandparents that I went to cash, then I took my birthday money {$70} and headed to Target for some shopping. It felt so good to go shopping by myself. My mother in law is visiting so she watched the kids for me while I went out. My sister in law was here at our house anyway.

I meant to post a picture of me at Target but forgot.

This was on the way home from shopping. I decided since I was in the car by myself blasting some country music would be nice! And it was {mostly} - it's amazing what listening to christian music does to you. The negativity in some of the country songs kinda put a nasty taste in my mouth.

That was the last picture I took.
Fail.  Especially since that was like at 4:00.

I will do better next month!

Hello if you don't know me I'm Katie I {obviously} blog here and you can find my instagram & twitter ---> Two things in my bag: 1. My cute little notebooks I found at Target and a variety of pens. I love pens. No seriously, you should see my pen + sharpie box.  2. My phone. I am a HUGE picture taker. I love taking pictures and using all the fun picture apps and posting pictures. If you love taking pictures come find me, we can have some instagram fun!!!  Two things I'm looking forward to: 1. Hugs & coffee with friends. Friends I've never technically met. Friends that I will never forget, that will be hard to leave, that just get me. 2. Learning. Learning more about who I am. About the amazing way God created me as a woman. Learning from all these wise women that live with realness and grace. Being filled with His word. See you in 2-ish weeks!!!

We are not part of his story and he is not part of ours

"Write drunk; edit sober" -Ernest Hemingway I've never actually attempted this, but tonight I am. I've had my wine and if you know me at all it doesn't take much to get my lightheaded & giggly. I'm truly not a Windau (my maiden name) when it comes to my alcohol consumption. I put my catholic roots to shame. I'm ok with that. I'm not a mean drunk, but a purely giggly & say inappropriate thing drunk. Today stung. It stung hard. Last Tuesday we got a call for a little 5 month old baby. Technically we got a call for 4 boys but for reasons that I will not share, we could only say yes to little guy. And then there was waiting. And more waiting because our agency couldn't find a home for 4 of the little guys, they came from a sibling group of 6. All 6. Boys. That would be headed for permanent custody. In my mind all the things lined up. I had prayed for an orphan. I had been learning about how to bond with a baby in the adoption sens...
