Tell Me Tuesday

Sure, guess I'll do a Tell Me Tuesday this week.

This week I want to know what makes you happy? Those little gifts? Ways others can speak to your love languages?

My list would be:

~Coffee --- oh how I love my coffee. Like so much!

~Chocolate, cupcakes, cheesecake, smores
So I love my sweets, what can I say, I am a woman!

~Clorox Wipes
I'm sorry all natural cleaning people. I love them. So much. I won't clean my bathrooms with anything besides them. Yes, I know odd, but if you gave me clorox wipes I would be a happy lady!

~Hand written letters
I love them. I love those from the heart letters. I wouldn't consider myself old fashion, I just love the heart of it.

~Talking without distraction
Ok. I may never walk up to a stranger and start talking. Sometimes I won't even walk up to people I know and start a conversation. I tend to be very shy at first but once I get to know you and don't feel so uncomfortable, girl I can talk off your ear.
(I very much to need to work on the listening part)

~Flowers
I am not a jewelry girl. I like the idea of jewelry, I hate actually having to wear it.
But flowers. Flowers on my table make me the happiest!!

What about you? What brings your day sunshine?

  1. Coffee Drinks! You know those super unhealthy sugary ones. Luckily we don't have a drive thru coffee shop around here.

Running Solo-Nothing says "I love you!" like my husband being able to watch Addi and let me run alone.

Flowers! I love me some pretty flowers. They pop up a lot around here.

Baking + Donuts- I can not resist hot baked goods, especially donuts. And I love baking! I don't get to bake as much as I use to because I don't want to eat it all or make a mess in my in laws kitchen {we live there right now}.

  2. Cups of coffee bring joy to my day, too! The warm sun shining down on my skin, when husband calls me randomly from the grocery store to ask me what kind of icecream I want, phone calls from my mom just wanting to see how my day is going... The thoughtful things mean the most to me :)

We are not part of his story and he is not part of ours

"Write drunk; edit sober" -Ernest Hemingway I've never actually attempted this, but tonight I am. I've had my wine and if you know me at all it doesn't take much to get my lightheaded & giggly. I'm truly not a Windau (my maiden name) when it comes to my alcohol consumption. I put my catholic roots to shame. I'm ok with that. I'm not a mean drunk, but a purely giggly & say inappropriate thing drunk. Today stung. It stung hard. Last Tuesday we got a call for a little 5 month old baby. Technically we got a call for 4 boys but for reasons that I will not share, we could only say yes to little guy. And then there was waiting. And more waiting because our agency couldn't find a home for 4 of the little guys, they came from a sibling group of 6. All 6. Boys. That would be headed for permanent custody. In my mind all the things lined up. I had prayed for an orphan. I had been learning about how to bond with a baby in the adoption sens...
