He leads us to the crazy

The things God calls us to rarely make sense.
Instead it's an act of faith. 
The things God is leading you to, can make other people look at you like you have 3 heads or may need to be admitted.
And at the end of the day, week, month & years it's all about Him, all about His glory, His story, His grace.
I am so thankful to be part of that story.

 What I have learned, is God gently & sometimes not so gently leads us to the places to go. If it keeps coming to your mind and it is something completely crazy but you can see God's hand in it, girl you betta get to praying. 

 We have stepped into a season of what you & others will think is completely crazy, but without a doubt in my mind God has lead us here. To this exact timing, His will.

    so true. really no story written in His word makes sense if taken out of context! He's so creative! praying for your family Katie.

We are not part of his story and he is not part of ours

"Write drunk; edit sober" -Ernest Hemingway I've never actually attempted this, but tonight I am. I've had my wine and if you know me at all it doesn't take much to get my lightheaded & giggly. I'm truly not a Windau (my maiden name) when it comes to my alcohol consumption. I put my catholic roots to shame. I'm ok with that. I'm not a mean drunk, but a purely giggly & say inappropriate thing drunk. Today stung. It stung hard. Last Tuesday we got a call for a little 5 month old baby. Technically we got a call for 4 boys but for reasons that I will not share, we could only say yes to little guy. And then there was waiting. And more waiting because our agency couldn't find a home for 4 of the little guys, they came from a sibling group of 6. All 6. Boys. That would be headed for permanent custody. In my mind all the things lined up. I had prayed for an orphan. I had been learning about how to bond with a baby in the adoption sens...

Because My Body Is A Temple CHALLENGE

Right now it's not a strong temple, but it's more of a work in progress temple. I have been blessed with my husband, family & a few good friends who continue to encourage me even though I've been here plenty of times before. I have met a serious beautiful friend ; inside & out who continues to motivate me along this journey. Together we have decided to start a challenge.
