"we tend to stay away from mourning and dancing. too afraid to cry, too shy to dance. we become narrow-minded complainers, avoiding pain and also true human joy. while we live in a world subject to the evil one, we belong to God. let us mourn, and let us dance." -henri nouwen
Love love you.
ReplyDeleteOne, I LOVE your heart!! I pray that God brings those children into your life at the perfect time, and use you to show them how incredibly loved they are.
ReplyDeleteAnd two, your son is ADOREABLE! Love it :)
Yes i knew you were going to talk about this again. I so love your heart for foster care adoption. You must be so excited for June! PS how cute is your kiddo
ReplyDeleteAMAZING! I have a good friend who was FINALLY adopted at 13! I struggle with infertility and have always felt like God was using that as a means to lead me to foster care and adoption! I love your story and am so happy I found you through this hop! So many children need safe, warms homes, and foster parents who show them what love is all about!
ReplyDeleteI loved Alex's little video :) Katie, I loved hearing your heart. It stirred my heart and reminded me of some things that God is doing in my heart as well. I'll be praying for you and am excited to see what God does in and through your family as this journey continues.
ReplyDeleteI love your heart for foster care and adoption - how exciting! I'll definitely have to stop back by and keep up on your journey!
ReplyDeleteIt's so great to have met you through this link-up! I love meeting bloggers who have a heart for foster care and adoption. Even though that's in the way future for me, it's something that I've dreamed about for years. I have to say, hearing you talk about this amazing passion of yours is soo contagious and it makes me want to adopt even more. :)
ReplyDeletep.s. Your son is way too cute. I'm pretty sure he's the cutest vlogger out there.
I KNEW IT! I knew you'd talk about foster care - which is awesome. I love your passion for it, and also, GIRL, dang, you look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat an important and awesome passion -- I'm smiling so big just thinking of the lives that will be blessed and loved on because of the stirring God did in your heart and your obedience to follow His lead.
ReplyDeleteI love that you're so passionate about foster care, it's definitely something my husband and I are considering!
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving a sweet comment on my blog!
Thank you for sharing about this. Right before we got married, God put adoption on both mine and my husbands (or soon-to-be husband's) hearts. We also feel very strongly about adoption from the US only and I would love to be a part of the foster care system and adopt that way. Since we are still fairly newly married and in no financial situation for us to even have children of our own, we know this is not for us yet, but I am excited to follow your blog and start gathering wisdom and resources for the "someday". Thank you. I can tell your heart is so big and you love these children so much. I'm glad you didn't totally follow the prompt and I'm excited to have "met" you through this.
